Red Sweater

I got a red sweater today,

It was colder than usual in a peculiar way.

Grandma handed it to me with a grin,

Ugly and itchy, yet my adoration blooms within.

Three sizes too big, but I don’t mind,

Feel or quality, I’m not inclined.

Pattern and fragility, I dismiss with ease,

For the cotton shines bright, a comfort to appease.

I got a red sweater today.
